Lorene Watson Wise was born March 13, 1930, in Norwood community of San Augustine County, Texas. She went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2017, in the comfort of her home in Grand Prairie, Texas, surrounded by family.

Lorene married Johnnie Vester Wise on May 23, 1948, in San Augustine. They shared most of their lives together in Grand Prairie. Lorene was a devoted wife and mother of seven children, 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Lorene was predecesed by her husband, Johnnie Vester Wise; parents Alma and Arlis Watson; grandson, Jeffery Hinckley; sister, Ila Mae Ward; brothers, James Watson and Curtis Watson; and multiple other family members.

Lorene is survived by her daughters, Rita Russell and husband Tommy Russell of Cedar Creek, Texas, Elaine Hinckley of North Richland Hills, Texas, Ira Howard and husband Tommy of Mt. Ida, Arkansas, Iva Gutierrez and husband Paul of Eustace, Texas, Pam Pflueger and husband Bruce of Midlothian, Texas, Kim Hill and husband Jimmye of Fort Worth, Texas; son, Wesley Wise and wife Lynlee of Midlothian, Texas; four sisters, Ruth Child, Paunee Ogden, Doris Dudley, and Shirley Holloway; a brother, Truman Watson; and a host of other family members.

Services are set for 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2017, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, 5400 North St. in Nacogdoches. Interment will follow at Attoyac Cemetery, located off FM 3316 in San Augustine County.
